Special Information

LinkedIn Learning: LinkedIn Learning, an online educational platform, is available to all College of Charleston faculty, staff, and students. LinkedIn Learning can help you discover and develop technology, business, and creative skills through the expert-led course videos on hundreds of topics - all on your own schedule. Faculty and staff can access LinkedIn Learning by logging into Cougar ED/Absorb (cofc.myabsorb.com) with their College credentials. Navigate to the My Courses tile from the Dashboard to see courses you may have been enrolled in, or to the Catalog tile, to see recommended courses (see Access Courses in Cougar ED (Absorb)). To browse the extensive list of courses available in LinkedIn Learning, faculty and staff must log in through Office 365 (portal.office.com) with their College credentials and navigate to the More Apps section (see Access LinkedIn Learning from your Office 365 Account). Students can access LinkedIn Learning through portal.office.com.

Student Technology: IT offers tutorials for all academic applications and they are available on the Student Tutorials page.
Faculty and Staff Loaner Laptops: Information Technology has a limited supply of laptops available for loan to faculty and staff. These are being made available on a first-come, first-served basis at the IT Service Desk location in Bell 501. Both Apple and Dell computers are available. Faculty and staff can reserve a laptop by completing the request form here
Student Hotspots: Information Technology has a very limited supply of Verizon Wi-Fi hotspots available for checkout to students with an urgent need that do not have high-speed Internet. Students can complete the request form here.
