Special Information

IT Service Desk Limited Walk-Up Schedule: Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, the IT Service Desk Bell 525 walk-up location will be operating on a limited schedule of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Support via telephone, email and chat will remain on a regular schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Office 365 Applicatons Faculty/Staff Training Opportunities: In these one-hour Microsoft OneDrive (cloud-based storage), Teams (collaboration), or Yammer (internal social network) trainings IT will share best practices and fundamentals. Faculty and staff can RSVP to hamtl@cofc.edu to attend.

Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Creative Suite Now Available for Personal Computers: Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Creative Suite are now available, at no cost, to College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff for temporary use on personal computers through May 31, 2020 to assist with learning, teaching, and working remotely. The Adobe Acrobat Pro version allows you to create, edit, sign, and convert most PDF files to Word documents. The Adobe Creative Suite includes visual and design applications like Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere, and AfterEffects. If you would like to request access to Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Creative Suite for your personal computer, please complete a ticket using the following link: https://cofc.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1802/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=42751.

Faculty and Staff Loaner Laptops: Information Technology has a limited supply of laptops available for loan to faculty and staff. These are being made available on a first come, first served basis at the IT Service Desk location in Bell 525. Both Apple and Dell computers are available at this time. You may reserve a laptop by completing the request form located here. 

Student Hotspots
: Infortmation Technology has a very limited supply of Verizon Wi-Fi hotspots available for check out to students with an urgent need that do not have highspeed Internet. Students should email the IT Service Desk directly to request a Wi-Fi hotspot.
